ALPENTM UNO-RMFD Reactor/Mixer-Filter-Dryer

About the Product :

Yet another innovation by us that promises huge benefits to the process industry. Not a continuous processor exactly as is conventionally understood, but almost one, it is a multi-purpose processor that can handle several unit-operations sequentially. And in each unit-operation mode, the performance of ALPENTM UNO-RMFD would be better than the best available in the industry today.

Besides Reaction, Filtration and Drying, the unit also offers additional operational facilities, like drowning, crystallization / precipitation, washing, leaching and solvent recovery. The unit is not only capable of wet milling during reaction, filtration and washing but also performs dry milling during drying operation, giving a final dried product in fine powder form. If required, the final discharge can also be tuned to be in granular form instead of fine powder.

With the Reactor accessories removed, the unit can be used as a Filter-Dryer too. And as a Filter-Dryer, this single-pot processor outperforms the Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer by almost 40%!! In a filter-dryer mode, on a like-to-like basis, the performance of the unit during filtration exceeds the performance of an ANF, including the washing phase. And during drying, the unit outperforms the ANFD by completing the task ( drying ) in half the time, with zero lumps as a bonus.

Operation :

ALPENTM UNO-RMFD is of horizontal configuration. Specially designed agitation system operates over a wide speed range, 1 to 200 RPM. The impeller bank includes scrapers that touch-scrape the shell at slow speed and run retracted at high speed. This option can be automatic or operator-selected from a control panel. The processing chamber comes with a reflux arrangement, with an option for total or partial reflux, facilitating reactions requiring such an accessory. Filter-bag housing, with inert-gas reverse pulse-jet facility for cleaning, is incorporated to trap carry over of fines during drying phase. Mechanical Seals at the end plates, where the shaft enters / exits the processor, are with flushing arrangement; and the design prevents any ingress of foreign particles into the product during operation.

Capacities / Sizes and Pilot Trial Facilities :

Capacities Offered : ( All capacities are in terms of maximum reactants charge, in Litres )

Pilot Plant Model : 15L reactant charge volume, minimum

Plant Size Model : 100L to 5000L

MOC : SS 316 / Hastelloy C276 / Hastelloy ( other grades ) / Inconel 600 / Inconel 625 / Inconel 800 for contact parts, depending on the chemicals involved.

Pilot Trial Facilities : At our works in Chennai, we have two Pilot Facilities where clients can take trials to verify proof-of-concept for their chosen product, establish feasibility and scale-up criteria. Each facility can accept reactants charge of 15 litres total. One unit is in SS 316 and the other in Hastelloy C276 for contact parts. Rest in SS 304.

Hot water as well as steam ( upto 140 degrees C ) heating facility available.

Oil-Ring Vacuum Pump for full vacuum and Water-Ring Vacuum Pump for vacuum upto 700 mm Hg also available.

A Chilling Plant for condenser is installed too.
